Greg McQuillan, although a trained engineer, considers himself a born dirt salesman. Greg grew up in Florida Real Estate. His family created their first major Central Florida development in the '70s. Greg graduated from the prestigious Virginia Military Institute (VMI) in 1985, with a degree in civil engineering and got his salesman's license in 1986. Integrating VMI's Honor Code, "I do not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do," into his service oriented business philosophy contributed to his rapid promotion to Head Engineer with Peoples Gas in Jacksonville. While working there, he continued to sell land and contribute his engineering skills in developing subdivisions in Florida with the family company.
Following his first love, real estate, in 1990 he received his Broker’s License and assumed the reigns of the family business. He was then specializing in rural land sales and large and small scale land developments in Gilchrist, Marion, and Levy Counties.
In September of 1999, Greg met Bob Bieniek and started working with Alachua Properties, Inc., this enabled him to broaden his business focus and expertise by adding home and commercial sales to his land development skills.
Greg is an avid duck hunter, and judges licensed field trials for retriever clubs in the South. With his wile, Leslie, he is an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church serving as Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, and Leader of the Church’s Sports Ministry. He is a Player/Manager on several of the Church’s softball teams and enjoys fishing and golf with family and friends.
